6°C cooler. Zero electricity

6°C cooler. Zero electricity.
The solution started as agricultural waste.
I love examples like this because they remind us that innovation doesn’t always come from new technology.
In this case, discarded coconut husks are being used as rooftop insulation for schools.
The result is cooler classrooms, lower energy costs, and a valuable use for something that might otherwise have been burned or thrown away.
The lesson here goes far beyond coconut husks.
It shows what can happen when we stop seeing waste as the end of a story.
A waste product becomes a resource.
A problem becomes an opportunity.
And something with little perceived value suddenly becomes part of the solution.
Many businesses are surrounded by opportunities like this.
The challenge is that they don’t always look like opportunities at first.
That’s one of the reasons I enjoy doing the Hidden Profit & Impact Audit.
Quite often, the opportunities are already there.
They just haven’t been spotted yet.
