Classification and grouping of the SDGs

This infographic visually represents the grouping of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into three main themes:

1. Human Well-Being:
   • This top layer includes goals focused on social dimensions, such as poverty eradication (SDG 1), zero hunger (SDG 2), good health and well-being (SDG 3), quality education (SDG 4), gender equality (SDG 5), and reduced inequalities (SDG 10). 2. Sustainable Production and Consumption:

3. Natural Resource Base:
   • The bottom layer represents the environmental foundation necessary for sustainability, with goals that protect ecosystems and manage natural resources. This group includes life below water (SDG 14), life on land (SDG 15), clean water and sanitation (SDG 6), and climate action (SDG 13).

Additionally, Governance and Means of Implementation (SDGs 16 and 17) are represented as vertical elements on the left, signifying their cross-cutting role in supporting and achieving the other goals. These goals emphasize peace, justice, strong institutions, and global partnerships as essential for the overall SDG framework.

This layered and interconnected visualization of the SDGs emphasizes how achieving sustainability requires a holistic approach that integrates social, economic, and environmental dimensions, supported by robust governance and partnerships.
