Pacific Urban Forum sparks momentum for urban resilience in small islands

More than 300 delegates, including local and national government officials and international agencies, travelled across the Pacific to attend the Pacific Urban Forum held in Papua New Guinea.The Forum focused on the threats and opportunities of urban settlements in the region in the face of rapid urban growth and extreme climate change impacts. 
ICLEI is a proud member of the Pacific Urban Partnership, the coalition of urban development organizations that organized and delivered the Forum program. As part of its contribution, ICLEI Oceania co-hosted a breakout session on food security and climate resilience in Kiribati.
