Taksonomi Keuangan Berkelanjutan Indonesia

After a long wait, discussions, FGDs, and public hearings in 2024, finally Otoritas Jasa Keuangan has launched the Indonesian Sustainable Finance Taxonomy (Taksonomi Keuangan Berkelanjutan Indonesia – TKBI) version 2. This updated version includes technical screening criteria (TSC) for sectors such as Construction and Real Estate (C&RE), Transportation and Storage (T&S), and parts of Agriculture, Forestry, and Other Land Use (AFOLU), focusing specifically on forestry and palm oil plantations.

In addition to the TSC for these sectors, TKBI version 2 introduces several improvements to the appendices for added clarity and ease of use. The key updates include:
(1) Appendix 3 – Technical Criteria: Mapped industry codes (KBLI 2017 and KBLI 2020) and updated energy sector TSC with new policy references and adjustments for hydropower.
(2) Appendix 5 – Do No Significant Harm (DNSH): Added a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) worksheet for evaluating resource resilience and supporting the circular economy.
(3) Appendix 8 – Use Cases: Added examples for consumer credit/financing.
(4) Appendix 10 – List of Provisions: Included provisions for the C&RE, T&S, and AFOLU sectors.
(5) Appendix 12 – Climate Risk and Vulnerability Assessment (CRVA): Provided new explanations and worksheets for assessing climate adaptation.
Looking ahead, TKBI will serve as the primary reference for green and sustainable indicators in sustainability performance disclosures, aligning with regulatory frameworks.
