Medellín’s transformation from one of the most dangerous cities in the world to a model of urban innovation is a prime example of urban revitalization. The city focused on improving public transportation , creating public spaces , and investing in social programs. Crucially, these efforts included the participation of local communities, ensuring that revitalization benefited existing residents without pushing them out.
