Can carbon offsets really deliver climate impact?
The terms “carbon credits” and “carbon offsets” are often mixed up but they aren’t the same. A credit is a verified unit of carbon reduction or removal, while an offset is the act of using those credits to balance emissions.
Both play a role in net-zero strategies.
But the big question remains: are companies using offsets as a genuine pathway to net zero, or as a shortcut to delay real change?
