We’re halfway through the critical decade for climate action…. Yet

Most companies are still off track.

Here is what the latest Corporate Climate Responsibility Monitor 2025 found:

– Out of 20 major global companies assessed… None received a “high” or even “reasonable” integrity rating for their climate strategies.
– Even the best performers (Apple, H&M) only reached “moderate” integrity.
– 2030 emission targets are increasingly becoming unfit for purpose. Because they lack transparency, rely on outdated accounting, and often exclude Scope 3 emissions.
– There are several structural flaws (Incomplete emissions disclosure, lack of real progress on sectoral transitions…)

While global standards like SBTi, ISO, and the Greenhouse Gas Protocol are being revised…

They’re still not enough to prevent greenwashing or to drive deep short term emissions redcutions.

Isn’t it the time to raise the bar?
