Organization Profile 2024 National WASH Network Indonesia
Thousands of colleagues under USAID funded projects worldwide have been impacted by Trump’s Executive Order to close USAID. This leads to an unexpected end of USAID IUWASH Tangguh project team including me in the middle of the ongoing project. The sense of loss runs deep as the progress that the project team fought for left unfinished.
To all my colleagues who have been impacted by this situation i would like express my moral support to all and wish you all the best with your future career. Through this platform i also would like express my sincere gratitude particularly to all IUWASH Tangguh Team who had been working together with me during the lifetime of the project. Your dedication has left a lasting mark, and it has been an honor to work alongside you all. Lastly, I am also thanking to all development sector global community who have been expressing solidarity and care during this difficult time. Your kindness is greatly appreciated.
The situation is indeed challenging, however i would like to use this opportunity to pause and reflect with myself. What is happening to me now has been predetermined by Allah and I have to be able to embrace and be grateful for it as Allah always knows the best for His servant.
The USAID has now officially closed, but I believe our commitment to helping people in need never change and will remain strong. I myself always be passionate working in community development particularly in WASH sector. Working in USAID IUWASH Tangguh marked my 15+ years experience in WASH sector and I am planning to continue to work in this sector as there are still millions of people globally who are still lacking on WASH access. The current global crises such as colonization, conflict, war, environmental degradation, natural disaster and climate change makes WASH access even more challenging to achieve, therefore stronger commitment and efforts are needed to continue the work.
To continue my professional journey working in WASH Sector I am currently starting to work at Jejaring AMPL (WASH National Network Indonesia) as Program Manager.
Jejaring AMPL is an Indonesia national platform for collaboration, advocacy and learning exchange on WASH sector in Indonesia to support Indonesia Government in achieving water, sanitation and hygiene national targets. Jejaring AMPL mission is to synergize efforts all WASH actors, to support advocacy on WASH policies and regulation and also to provide platform in learning exchange on knowledge and innovation in WASH sector in order to foster inclusive and sustainable WASH access for all.
