Think air pollution is just damaging the planet?

Think air pollution is just damaging the planet?
You’re underestimating the cost to human life if you do.
In 2022 alone, nearly 240,000 people in the EU died early due to exposure to fine particulate matter. That is about 650 people every day!
These are tiny pollutants that penetrate deep into the lungs and bloodstream.
And it doesn’t end there:
– 70,000 deaths were linked to ozone pollution.
– 48,000 deaths to nitrogen dioxide.
– 73% of EU ecosystems are exposed to harmful nitrogen levels.
– Crops and forests are losing billions in yield from ground level ozone.
So if you think, we’re just polluting the environment, we’re not.
This is the real war we are facing – and we are already in the midst of it.
We’re undermining human health, food systems, and biodiversity, all at once.
But the good news is the solutions exist.
– Stronger air quality standards.
– Smarter city planning.
– Cleaner products and systems by design.
The EU has set bold targets.
Now it’s up to governments, industries and all of us to act.
Because clean air doesn’t just protect the planet.
It saves lives.
