• Bicycle 🚴Infrastructure: Copenhagen boasts approximately 397 kilometers of dedicated bike lanes, facilitating safe and efficient travel for cyclists.
• Cycling Modal Share: As of recent data, 45% of trips to work or school in Copenhagen are made by bicycle, reflecting the city’s strong cycling culture.
• Safety Improvements: Efforts to enhance cycling safety have led to a decrease in serious injuries among cyclists. For instance, in 2010, there were 92 serious injuries and 3 fatalities, down from 252 incidents in 1996. This improvement is attributed to better infrastructure design and targeted safety campaigns.

Through the strategic application of geospatial analysis, Copenhagen continues to refine its bicycle network, addressing safety concerns, improving connectivity, and promoting cycling as a sustainable mode of transportation.
