Global Warming and Climate Change Causes and Effects

This is just a sample of the impact of climate change , other parts are yet to be known.
● Sea level rise: Sea levels are rising at an unprecedented rate, due to the melting of glaciers and ice sheets. This is causing coastal flooding, erosion, and saltwater intrusion into freshwater sources.
● Extreme weather events: Climate change is causing more extreme weather events, such as heat waves, droughts, floods, and wildfires. These events are causing widespread damage and displacement, and are posing a serious threat to human health and safety.
● Changes in agricultural yields: Climate change is causing changes in agricultural yields, as plants are stressed by warmer temperatures and changing precipitation patterns. This is leading to food insecurity and malnutrition in some parts of the world.
● Loss of biodiversity: Climate change is causing the loss of biodiversity, as plants and animals are unable to adapt to the changing environment. This is threatening the survival of many species, and could have a cascading impact on ecosystems.
● Human health impacts: Climate change is having a number of negative health impacts, including heat stress, respiratory problems, and vector-borne diseases. These impacts are disproportionately affecting the poor and marginalized, who are often least able to adapt to the changing climate.
