The CM Punjab Green Credit Program

The CM Punjab Green Credit Program (CMPGCP) is the flagship initiative of the Environment Protection & Climate Change Department – EP&CCD. The program aims to make Punjab greener, more sustainable, and climate-resilient through inclusive climate action, global carbon market access, and innovative policy tools.

The program comprises of three components:
✅ Green Credits
✅ Tapping International Carbon Market
✅ Emission Trading System

Under the Green Credit Component, there is a list of 32 Climate-Positive Actions aimed at climate change mitigation and adaptation. CM Punjab Green Credit Program encourages the public to perform these climate-positive actions and incentivizes them by awarding Green Credits.
