For resilient infrastructure, it is crucial to be agile, aligning with community needs to strengthen overall resilience. It is critical that communities are involved in the planning so that agility and longevity for future generations are considered from the outset. Multipurpose spaces could also help promote connectivity and productivity. This session on Adaptive and Agile Spaces – Finding Flexibility in the Future of Built Form, together with our partners at GHD, enabled us to draw on global examples of multipurpose spaces, asset reuse, and repurposed infrastructure, offering valuable lessons for building resilient cities for current and future generations.
