The Carbon Footprin of Everything

Imagine if everything you bought came with a carbon footprint tag…
Your coffee.
The shirt you’re wearing.
The laptop you’re reading this on.
What difference would it make?
– Consumers could finally compare and choose the true low-carbon option.
– Governments could design smarter policies (green procurement, incentives)
– Firms could unlock financing and prove they’re on a net-zero path.
The OECD calls for this idea “the carbon footprint of everything.”
It’s ambitious…
Data quality, costs for smaller firms, and harmonization across borders are big issues to consider.
But the serious question is:
👉 Would you change your choices if every product had a carbon tag?
